Today, Zoë Kravitz was named in the Time Magazine 100 Most Influential People of 2022. Following her recent success in The Batman and her forthcoming directorial debut for Pussy Island, the inclusion in the publication’s annual list is no surprise. Each year a famous close friend or colleague is tasked with writing an essay on the individual, with Reese Witherspoon publishing a glowing review on the actress.

Kravitz and Witherspoon appeared alongside each other in the HBO hit television series Big Little Lies. According to the co-star, Kravitz’ hidden talent is her “humour”.

“She made me laugh during endless night shoots and always pushed the comedic tension between our characters onscreen,” Witherspoon wrote. “She brings an edgy humour to all her work—and to dinner parties, if you’re looking for a perfect guest.”

The Morning Wars actress and producer continued on a more serious note, describing Kravitz’ incredible work-ethic. “It would be very easy for Zoë to walk through the world in a different way, entitled and accomplished. But that’s not her style,” she adds. “She chooses the path of hard work, constantly innovating and pushing the status quo. She hustles, writes her own scripts, stays up all night until the job is done. I’ve watched it up close, and it never ceases to amaze me.”

Kravitz was included in the ‘Artists’ category alongside Sarah Jessica Parker (who received an essay by Cynthia Nixon), Pete Davidson (by Jack Harlow) and her very own beau of 12 months, Channing Tatum – iconic. Zendaya was also featured in the ‘Innovators’ roundup with director Taika Waititi.

The 33-year-old was recently named as the latest ambassador of Swiss timepiece brand, Omega. She has just come off the back of her role as Catwoman in the moody DC film The Batman, which also arrived with a very fashionable press tour.
