Even for the most private of relationships, it seems February has everyone inspired for a little romantic candidness. As Bella Hadid shared her own declaration of love for Marc Kalman on social media for Valentine’s Day, Zoë Kravitz appeared in a new interview to discuss meeting beau Channing Tatum for the first time.
Kravitz said she never met the 41-year-old before he was cast in her upcoming directorial debut Pussy Island, but believed he was “brave enough” to take on the role. Their unexpected romance ensued.
“Looking at his work and hearing him speak about Magic Mike and the live show, I’m like, I think he’s a feminist,” she said. “You need to be so far from who this is, where it’s not scary. And I don’t think we’ve ever seen him play someone dark. I’m excited to see him do that.”
The reporter asked about recent paparazzi photographs of the couple holding hands. She remained secretive and instead said, “I’m happy”.
In early February, Channing Tatum also broke his silence on dating the 33-year-old actress – not directly of course. Instead in a cover story for Variety, he gushed about her work ethic and attention-to-detail.
“I was like, ‘You’ll need double the days.’ She’s a perfectionist in the best possible way,” he said.
The couple first sparked romance rumours back in January 2021 just days after Kravitz finished the divorce process from former husband, Karl Glusman. The pair were photographed leaving the Met Gala together (after arriving separately) in September before going Instagram official for Halloween in late October.
Despite straying away from any romance talk, a source for E! News confirmed the relationship.
“There’s more than a friendship going on with Channing and Zoe,” the insider shared. “They are spending a lot of time together and having fun. They are more than just close friends or co-stars. Their relationship has grown into more.”
