After finding stardom with the HBO series The White Lotus and Euphoria, Sydney Sweeney has swayed from her classic Cassie curls just once and earlier this year debuted a coppery red hue with a blunt front fringe. Since returning to her blonde locks, the actress has earned the label “hair chameleon” with her next transformation. A Gen Z-inspired look if you will.
Taking to social media this week, Sweeney revealed a bouncy new lob (long bob for the unacquainted) and a sweeping side part as she posed in a white bathrobe. It’s the 2022 elevated version of the side fringe we all tried to cut ourselves in high school. The modest, albeit refreshing transformation was the work of celebrity hairstylist Glen Coco Oropeza. He counts clients including Rita Ora and Camila Cabello.
The actress wore a similar iteration of the makeshift fringe in the Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2022 campaign last week. The side part is certainly gaining momentum among celebrities with Megan Fox opting for the polarising style (only if done incorrectly) just last week.
If you need a little before and after of Sweeney, she attended a baseball match between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Boston Red Sox late last month with much longer strands.
The 24-year-old’s latest beauty transformation comes after she received not one, but two Emmy Awards nominations in July. She earned her two nods in the Best Supporting Actress category for her respective roles as Olivia and Cassie in The White Lotus and Euphoria. The star posted her reaction of the news to social media with a video of herself calling mum as she cried happy tears.
