Rihanna already proved herself to be queen of the pregnancy outfit when she was pregnant with her son last year, and she’s continuing her world domination in her second pregnancy, stepping out in LA for her 35th birthday in white bodycon and a seriously statement jacket.
The Superbowl star held a private dinner at Santa Monica celebrity haunt and her personal favourite, Giorgio Baldi. The guest list seemed tight – according to TMZ, partner A$AP Rocky was of course in attendance, as was Rihanna’s bestie Melissa Forde and her brother, Rorrey Fenty. The star had clearly booked out the venue – paparazzi pictures show the roof filled with helium balloons in celebration.

For her birthday fit, Rihanna went with a simple white bodycon mini dress that featured a sash belt secured with a diamante buckle, all very 90s Beverly Hills glamour, especially with her exposed lingerie (almost certainly Savage x Fenty). This was teamed with a pair of bejewelled stiletto heels (truly this woman is making stilettos in pregnancy a trend at this point), and diamond accessories including a seriously chunky bracelet and ring.

Hair and makeup-wise Rih went for metallic accents and pinned-back curls, keeping with the LA glam vibes, and kept warm during the Los Angeles winter with an oversized patent faux-croc jacket.

This is the first time Rihanna has stepped out publicly since her Superbowl performance, in which she revealed she was pregnant with her second child. She followed up her return to the stage with a major interview for British Vogue, talking candidly about her relationship and becoming a family. “We’re best friends with a baby,” she told the publication. “We have to be on the same page, but we’ve always kind of had that in our relationship. Everything changes when you have a baby but I wouldn’t say it’s done anything but made us closer.”
