The 2023 Oscars were over three days ago, but if you thought that meant we’d seen every outfit moment to have happened at both the red carpet event and the after-parties, you would be mistaken.

Taking to Instagram, Hailey Bieber, who attended the Vanity Fair after-party in a sleek black YSL gown, revealed that following the official event, she changed into something a little more party-appropriate to hit a second party: Valentino couture.

The model and Rhode founder showed off the zig-zag back of her teal minidress, which featured large round silver and clear discs that looked like fish scales throughout. The backless design was held together only by the teal string that continued from the dress’ thin shoulder straps. Bieber finished the look with a pair of black pumps, adding diamond earrings and cuffs and wearing her brunette bob in loose waves.

Bieber wasn’t the only one to change into an after-after party look. Her friend, though if you believe TikTok current frenemy, Kendall Jenner also swapped into a more skin-baring look, slipping out of her vintage Jean Paul Gaultier dress for new season Anne Demeulemeester — the first collection designed by the house’s creative director Ludovic de saint Dernin.

If you cast your minds back to earlier in the night, you’ll remember that Hunter Schafer was tasked with debuting the collection on the red carpet for the first time in her internet-breaking feather moment at VF (notably, she was styled by Law Roach, who announced his shock retirement days later.)

But back to Kenny. Jenner opted for a brown faux shaggy fur cropped top with a matching mocha brown silk skirt that hung low on her hips (a similar design to the one Schafer also wore). She accessorised with dark brown gemstone earrings and wore her long dark hair up in a messy bun.

There you have it: the stakes have been raised and each separate party you attend you must wear a different full-season look. I’m joking! This rule actually should only apply to Rihanna, who I’d pay to see wearing four outfits in a night every night.
