Sabrina Carpenter hasn’t let her busy schedule—including opening for Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour worldwide— stop her from indulging in a new romance. The rumour mills are abuzz with news of the singer recently getting close to actor Barry Keoghan. And while two of Hollywood’s most in-demand talents dating each other is far from groundbreaking, this does count as 2024’s first unexpected coupling, so we’re invested.
When Carpenter, 24, and Keoghan, 31, were first spotted hanging out together in Los Angeles back in December 2023, there wasn’t enough evidence to gauge the nature of their rendezvous. Things were especially confusing as the Saltburn star was thought to still be with longtime partner Alyson Sandro, with whom he shares a son, Brando.
But fast forward to January 7, and Keoghan revealed that he and Sandro had indeed parted ways in an interview with GQ.
Then, on January 15, the pop star and Oscar-nominated actor were spotted at Luna Luna, an interactive museum amusement park in Los Angeles. In the photos (see here), the duo stood together but weren’t caught in any overt PDA. According to one bystander, though, there might have been a sneaky kiss.
“It definitely seemed like a date,” the eyewitness told People, saying that Keoghan and Carpenter looked “cute” and “shared a little kiss.”
On February 9, the couple enjoyed a dinner together at celebrity hotspot Nobu before heading to the Hotel Bel-Air afterwards. According to People, Keoghan proceeded to drop Carpenter off at her home the next morning and was seen kissing her farewell, too.
In their most public appearance yet, the couple laughed and got close to each other, unaffected by the paparazzi around, while leaving a romantic dinner in Los Angeles just a few days before Valentine’s Day.
Though neither has yet confirmed anything publicly, we don’t think we’ve seen the last of #Sarry.
