UPDATE, April 21: One day later and I’m just marginally closer to decrypting Zoë Kravitz post on Instagram. In the following hours after her post with friend (or maybe more) Taylour Paige, the actress published and image with Cree Summer, captioned: “also a thing. a love thing. @iamcreesummer ♥️ #thisisimportant”

Both posts have been updated with the hashtag, #thisisimportant.

On Instagram stories she shared an image from account @femalecollective, accompanied by the words, “this is important”, and pictured a cake. It read, “No one should be in prison for weed”.

While the hashtag itself has varied topics on the social media platform, it begs the question on whether this is an excellently curated PR stunt for a forthcoming campaign (it has certainly worked), a new project, or if Zoe Kravitz is taking activism into her own hands?

Stay tuned, more is expected to come. See the original story below.

Original Story, April 20: Zoë Kravitz is a woman of few words, but when it comes to details pertaining to a new romance she has been particularly cryptic. At the weekend, the Big Little Lies actress took to Instagram to post a happy snap with fellow actress and dancer, Taylour Paige. In any other circumstance, the post would be a non-event, that is, until I read the caption: “so…. this is a thing @taylour.”

If my years of things and flings have told me anythingit certainly means this is a romantic thing. For further clarification on the cryptic caption, I looked to the comments section.

Paige commented saying, “infinite skies” to which a number of followers swiftly replied in unison that it was queer baiting. “Where’s Jesse?”, one user posted while another said, “This photo + caption is straight up queerbaiting.”

The further I scrolled, the further I was unsure of this new-found romance. One user suggested the duo may be working together on a new series or film while another asked where Paige’s beau, Jesse Williams, was in all of this.

Williams and Paige appeared in a GQ shoot and interview in February which detailed their serious relationship. The couple met in 2018 and according to Williams, “We skipped to the deep end of the pool.”

“Let’s be honest, I have a lot of press around my personal life,” Williams continued. “To go out is very likely to be photographed and declare something between me and another person who I’m just getting to know. I was very protective of not putting her through that and putting myself through that.”

As for Kravitz, she filed for divorce from her husband of 18 months, Karl Glusman, in January of this year. It is well-known Kravitz is bisexual and was praised for her role in High Fidelity.

For now, I will patiently wait on social media for official confirmation on this thing. Stay tuned.
