Chances are you can’t escape that About Love campaign—I mean how could you? With Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and that never before-seen Basquiat painting, it’s somewhat etched in the cultural zeitgeist. Well, after its public unveiling earlier this year alongside Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Jean-Michel Basquiat’s “Equals Pi”—unofficially dubbed the Tiffany blue Basquait—is once again on display, this time with the focus of the fine jewellery House’s 2021 Holiday Advent Calendar.

Available now, the Advent calendar—a wonder emporium of various Tiffany trinkets—is reimagined as a canvas, an homage to the art of Basquait (he was known for using unconventional mediums—like doors, refrigerators etc). The design recalls a cabinet of curiosities, revealing 24 Blue Boxes filled with Tiffany jewellery and objects, with the exterior adorned with the painting.

Tiffany & Co. has considered every part of design for their second-ever Advent Calendar, with the calendar shown inside a pine art shipping crate on their website (POA). This years’ edition is quite the collectable!

To coincide with their About Love campaign, the House recently launched its About Love scholarship—which provides scholarships for students attending select Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). And with this 2021 Advent Calendar, Tiffany & Co. is continuing to bring art to more communities, announcing a new partnership with Free Arts NYC. The House will donate USD $250,000 from purchases of the 2021 Advent Calendar to the organisation and the funds will support a series of programs that will give children from underserved communities in New York City greater exposure to the creative arts.
