Chrissy Teigen is the first to give flak to her husband, John Legend. It’s almost always good-natured, but Legend is often the butt of the funny lady’s jokes, and she’s not afraid to air their dirty laundry on social media.

Over the weekend, however, Teigen revealed a softer side, thanking Legend for coming to her aid when she was feeling a bit out of sorts.

Teigen revealed that John had changed his flight from London to LA to London to D.C. to be by her side and binge on Love Island UK with her (we are all Chrissy). Legend even “had to fly on his least favorite airline. That is love,” she wrote.

Teigen has been extremely frank about her mental health battles in the past, penning an essay for Glamour about the post-partum depression she struggled with after having baby Luna in 2016.

Legend and Teigen and their two children Luna and Miles are also the cover stars of the latest issue of Vanity Fair in which Teigen gives the reporter a tour of the house, pointing out the fitness room (“Here’s the gym I never go into”), screening room and also the Lexapro anti-depressant tablet sitting on her dresser.

“Now this…is a dream come true,” Teigen wrote on Instagram, posting a photo of their VF cover. “Karen, thank you for spending time with our family and getting us to open up and talk about things I’ve been suppressing for years. Or just flat out asking the things no one does. I have never missed an issue of Vanity Fair and now..it’s us!!!

Teigen and Legend go deep in the interview, revealing their pick for the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate (Liz Warren! Chrissy likes Kamala Harris, too) and Teigen’s ongoing anxiety issues.

Because of her anxiety, she can’t remember moments of either elation or grief, such as her wedding or the period in high school when her mother disappeared from her life.

And her brain has a habit of jumping to the worst case scenario in any situation. “I’ll get a new dog and be like, This dog is going to die in my lifetime. The second we land somewhere on vacation I think, Oh, it’s going to be so sad to pack. I’ve never said, ‘Oh, I’m so excited for this job.’ I’m more, One day it’s just going to end,” she says.

Just as well Teigen has Legend by her side to pick her up when she’s down. If the VF profile tells us one thing, it’s that these two are together for the long haul, and as in love as ever.
