2020 has been hard in a multitude of ways – there’s no need for me to list them, we all lived it. But for those who found themselves single this year, and, even more so, for those who live alone, the magnitude of the global pandemic and worldwide lockdown was multiplied significantly.
It’s already hard to find someone worth battling through a Hinge conversation with at the best of times, but this year, the pandemic has made it pretty much impossible to date at all. In March, Time magazine dubbed loneliness America’s “other epidemic” – and that was before a lockdown period that lasted for much of the rest of the year.
Thankfully, that hindrance extends to even the most eligible of people, Harry Styles.
After releasing a breakup album at the end of 2019, all about his relationship with French-American model Camille Rowe, Us Weekly got intel from an insider about how the musician’s love life is going this year… and, well, just like you, it’s not.
“His dating life has been pretty nonexistent during lockdown because he’s been so careful to respect quarantining rules and social distancing,” a source said. “He and his roommates are quarantining together in L.A., waiting for the world to return to normal like the rest of us, though Harry has made some trips back to London for work and family purposes.”
The source added that Styles isn’t worried about putting his love life on hold. “He’s got some options in the pipeline in terms of who he’d like to date under the right circumstances, but nothing intense or formal,” the source said. “He’s in no hurry at all. It’s a genuine, go-with-the-flow attitude, although it goes without saying he certainly won’t be single in the long term.”
