Crushed velvet, structured silk, interiors-inspired prints and high voltage pops of colour – Victoria Beckham’s Spring/Summer 2017 collection, debuted at New York Fashion Week last month, was an elegant clash of fabrics and finishes. The same balance of textures came into play in her VICTORIA BECKHAM ESTÉE LAUDER make-up collection, also featured on the runway in four beauty looks inspired by cities personal to the designer. For the New York Look, Beckham created an homage to the city where she shows her fashion collection. “Modern, cool, sophisticated. I am inspired by the fast pace of New York, the energy on the streets and the sensory overload,” explains Beckham. “The way the light gleams off the glass, concrete and steel.” A shot of shimmery sapphire on the eye, paired with no-fuss nude lips and set against matte, bronzed cheeks make for a stylish but still wearable makeup equation for every woman, Manhattan-based or otherwise.
