This week, Maison Valentino celebrated opening of their new flagship boutique on Sydney’s swish drive Castlereagh Street with a star-studded, black-carpeted couture-dripping turnout that cements the revival of the Emerald City as a luxury destination.

The night started at the new boutique where media, guests and friends of the brands were able to explore the two-storied mecca of all things Valentino from both the women’s and men’s universes: ready-to-wear, Valentino Garavani bags, shoes, accessories, eyewear and fragrances.

Upon arriving, obligatory glasses of champagne were served alongside delicate amuse bouche. Guests included models Jessica Gomes and Victoria Lee, the Honourable Julie Bishop, musician Ruel and Sex Life star Adam Demos.

The timing was also aligned with the Unboxing Valentino SS23 season launch. Conceived by Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli, Unboxing Valentino was a collaboration with nine creatives including Law Roach, Anna Della Russo and Mix Wei who interpreted the collection from their own perspective.

But to make the evening truly special, the Italian house developed a truly unique offering for clients to make the night something to truly remember. The team at Valentino released a limited edition, signature Garavani ‘Loco bag’ inspired by the symphony of spectacular colours of the Australian landscape.

Unique to the Castlereagh Street boutique is an exclusive made-to-order Accessories Exotics Trunk project. For a truly personalised and bespoke experience, clients will have the chance to customise a selection of Valentino Garavani handbags from the skin, to the colour and finishes including the option to personalise the bag with their initials.

Once guests had their fill of frocks and froth, they were bussed over to a second location that had been secret until the festivities had begun – the Paint Shop at Eveleigh Railway workshops where they were treated to a live performance by producer and musician Touch Sensitive.
