Jewellery brand Pandora have partnered with tech-charity i=Change for their Shop for Change venture. $5 from every eComm sale today will go to the i=Change projects which supports programs for the empowerment of women and children. Pandora have even released two beautiful ‘Female Empowerment’ pieces especially for today.
Net-A-Porter have signed on designers such as Isabel Marant, Victoria Beckham, Rosie Assoulin and Kym Ellery to design special one-off tees for their Women For Women International campaign. A range of very chic charity tees that have already been spotted on celebs like Gisele Bündchen, Diane Kruger and Elle Fanning now available on their website. One hundred percent of profits will go a UK charity that supports female survivors of war.
Australian bohemian favourite Tigerlily has partnered with Share The Dignity, an initiative that helps to provide everyday essentials to women who are suffering from poverty and homelessness. Tigerlily, along with artist Isabelle Feliu, have designed a range of adorable $10 tote bags, and for each sold they will donate two new items of clothing to the charity.
Aussie label Cotton On have also announced a special charity today, donating $10 from the sale of a selection of empowering slogan t-shirts to women’s education foundations.
There’s no doubt that we are moving towards are more balanced and equal future (right now there is the highest percentage of women in US congress ever! Captain Marvel is a woman!) and the progressive nature of the past few years has seen a sudden and dramatic leap in support for the cause through movements like MeToo and TimesUp. But continual education is key. Raising our future generation to know that they are worthy, equal and powerful regardless of their gender is the only way forward.
