Somewhere in beauty fairyland, Nicole “Pinky” Thompson, Senior Artist at M.A.C Cosmetics, pulled on her wings and sprinkled pots of fairy dust (aka M.A.C Glitter) across lids and lips. Eyes were opalescent and glittering, lips lustrous and sparkling, skin other-worldly; it was beauty magic. And we were in love.
Pink, it would seem, is the prevailing makeup trend of this year, and a diluted, frosty version was concocted by Thompson and sprinkled with incandescent flecks of glitter. Glitter, too, has been ubiquitous on runways for several seasons now; migrating from lid to lip all year with conceptual rigour. Add gloss to the mix, and the beauty equation is complete. Sticky, glittery and pink; Thompson’s mantra for the below look was clear. Some girls had pearlescent peepers, others twinkling pouts, there was even pastel pink lurex eyes; all in all in was a dreamy dose of makeup fantasy with tactile pleasures.
Go forth with a flicker in your eye (literally). In the words of Pinky; “Gloss and glitter is always a good idea”. Amen.

M.A.C Studio Fix Fluid was mixed with M.A.C Strobe Cream and buffed on in sheer layers for perfected skin with a glow. Then M.A.C Fix + and Strobe Cream patted onto the complexion.
Gloss Over This
M.A.C Clear LipGlass was lacquered over the natural lips and onto eyes to give the eyelids shine that is EXTRA! When there was glitter on the lips, it was a mix of 3D Silver Glitter and chopped up pink sequins patted onto glossed lips. The glossy eyes were a mix of M.A.C Cantaloupe and Margin Blushes with Clear Lip Glass over the top.
