The Weeknd and Angelina Jolie’s Italian date night “networking” dinners appear to be a thing of the past because the musician is now dating someone new. That someone? Simi Khadra, half of the twin DJ duo Simi and Haze, and, more to the point, one of Bella Hadid’s (we’re guessing former) best friends.
Rumours started swirling on TikTok a few weeks ago about The Weeknd and Khadra’s relationship after the pair were spotted in the same location numerous times, most notably in a video of her leaving the same hotel as him moments later. But then over the weekend, the questions over the nature of their hanging out – “networking” again, perhaps? – were answered when a fan caught the pair kissing on video in Las Vegas at The Weeknd’s birthday party.

According to E! News, the two were also not trying to hide their relationship and were “by each other’s sides the entire night”, “making out” in front of guests, which included Swedish House Mafia and Kaytranada and Drake.
Okay, so now to the angelic, gorgeous, lovely, supermodel that is Bella Hadid. As you know if you’re reading this story, Hadid dated the Weeknd off and on between 2015 and 2019. It’s the longest relationship she’s ever been in and she was clearly heartbroken when the pair split for a year-long period in 2017. (The Weeknd publicly dated Selena Gomez during their break and Hadid was caught on social media looking at old photos of her ex while travelling).
In that period, Hadid spent a lot of time with both Khadra sisters, reportedly leaning on her friendship with the pair while she was mourning her break-up.

In the wake of these dating rumours, Hadid quietly showed how she feels by unfollowing the sister’s joint account, @SimiHaze, on Instagram, but hasn’t otherwise she hasn’t publicly responded. Furthermore, The Weeknd famously dissed Hadid’s new relationship with art director Marc Kalman in his new song, Here We Go … Again, in which he sings, “Your girlfriend’s tryna pair you with somebody more famous / But instead you ended up with someone so basic, faceless / Someone to take your pictures and frame it.” He went on to allude to dating Jolie, singing, “And my new girl, she a movie star / My new girl, she a movie star.”
Correction, your new girl is your old girl’s old bestie.
Not only is Khadra Hadid’s former bestie, but she’s also sister to Fai, the model and entrepreneur never not at the side of Kylie and Kendall Jenner (he’s in Paris with the latter now, in fact). Furthermore, she knows Selena Gomez, too, who entered the chat a few days later with an Instagram post revealing she’s been friends with the Khadra sisters for over a decade – and clearly has no qualms about one dating her ex. On Thursday, February 24, Gomez shared two photos of her posing with the twins with the caption “Since 2013.” Okur.
Anyway, Hadid is, of course, currently living her best life in Paris walking runways with the support of her stylish and hot boyfriend of a year and a half. J’adore.
