There have been signs recently that The Weeknd, newly dating Selena Gomez, and Justin Bieber, her ex-boyfriend, can barely contain their dislike of each other.

But now we have proof that the two mega-artists are enemies, after The Weeknd dropped a new track with lyrics that clearly allude to his dating Justin’s ex.

The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, sings on a new release by little-known Canadian rapper Nav, Some Way, but it’s not just a one-verse appearance – he dominates the song. The lines that seem likely to be about Bieber go as follows:

“I think your girl, think your girl, fell in love with me,” he sings. After that, it becomes quite explicit.

“She say my f*** and my tongue game a remedy.

“I just took that chick, and I know you feelin’ some way. She just want a n**** like me, you feelin’ some way.”

Nav then makes reference to Justin calling The Weeknd’s music “whack”, as footage published by TMZ showed recently. He raps:

“The brown boy and the Starboy on a track / Haters gonna say this sh*t is whack.”

Justin and Selena dated for over five years until they split for good at the beginning of last year, and neither have had a serious long-term relationship apart from each other until Gomez hooked up with The Weeknd recently. It seems Abel isn’t about to let Justin get away with his shady comments leaked onto social media, as evidenced by this inflammatory new song release.
