It seems mega-model and eternal patron of the It-Girl elite, Bella Hadid, was reading GRAZIA’s “Do It Yourself (At A Distance) series last week which honed in on at-home haircuts. Why? Because Hadid has gone ahead and cut herself some bangs.

After revealing new grey hair on TikTok last week, it seems Bella Hadid wasn’t content with just the dye job, now trying her hand at another hair transformation: DIY home haircuts. Taking to Instagram to share the news that she cut a fringe – “I cut my bangs” – the model showed off her fresh bangs in a teeny-tiny ruched orange crop top and and trackies (because balance, people).

In repose on the couch inside her sweeping ranch (where she’s isolating with her horses), Hadid flicked around her new fringe in the video, even trying out a subtle side sweep. The cut comes after a FaceTime conversation with her long-time hairstylist (and GRAZIA friend), Jen Atkin, who talked her through the chop with a virtual tutorial entitled, “HAIR CUTS 101” (along with a creepy mannequin head).

Pairing the razored fringe with her classic ’90s up ‘do (we have a sneaking suspicion a banana claw clip is holding the rest of her hair together), Hadid proceeded to pout coyly on the couch, even posting a poll at one point: “Would you let me cut your bangs. Be honest”, which given her gushy fandom, we assume to have polled favourably.

As the world continues to isolate at home, quarantine cuts are becoming increasingly popular (even among GRAZIA’s own editors). So should you wish to try out bangs like Bella Hadid or just go snip snip at tatty ends, we advise you take heed of hairstylist Anthony Nader, who offered his expert advice here. Because if there’s one person we trust to guide us through an at-home haircut, it’s Anthony Nader.
