Pink – with its endless permutations over time – sometimes needs a playful makeover. So why not rethink pink with more pink – and go all out with fuchsia. A beauty nonpareil, let the pink machine roll ahead with full steam. Go fuchsia on lip, and for eye, mute down your magenta slightly, a chunky wing or subtle flick will do the trick.
For those who like to live colourfully; take it to your tresses with Wella Professional’s Color Fresh Create range in-salon. Go forth with hair boldness and discuss colour options with your stylist; block colour à la Jeremy Scott at New York Fashion Week, or, try a more graduated colour like Marc Jacobs. Wella Professional Colour Director Marie Uva offers advice to those who aren’t ready to double down on colour: “Add a pastel touch to your hair using additional shade Tomorrow Clear. Given the shades are semi-permanent, you can experiment with your looks from week to week. Ask your colourist for dip-dyed ends as oppose to lofty pieces – depending on your preference.
And for those decidedly more jittery than confident, take heed of Vanngo’s final piece of advice. “Don’t be afraid to add a little pop of colour somewhere and just wear it for the day. It doesn’t have to be a crazy colour, or a lot…just a touch to start. It can sometimes look odd to see yourself in a way that you’re not used to, but to other people, it just looks like you’re having a bit of fun with makeup, and that’s the whole point.”
