The ultimate bombshell, model Irina Shayk, has arrived on the Golden Globes 2019 red carpet with a bob.
Shayk, typically the queen of the long, bombshell mane, has made her debut (arm in arm with nominee Bradley Cooper nonetheless) with a sleek, straight, cropped bob.
Aside from being immensely jealous of being on the arm of Mr. Cooper (sigh), we are also very jealous of that hair. Parted deeply to one side, straightened flat (but not too flat) and impossibly glossy, it’s the bob done right.
Shayk’s new abbreviated length also makes a strong statement: yes, short hair is sexy (a rhetoric Jen Atkin has been championing for a while). Curved slightly at its ends and tucked behind one ear, it’s sexy hair without being overt and overdone. Quite simply, it’s sexy hair done right – without the fuss and garish overtones.
Simple and chic, the undone hair look is the perfect accompaniment to her bedazzled dress – Versace, of course. Scissor-happy hairdressers rejoice; the bob isn’t going anywhere.
