When told to guess the top selling skincare brand in the US, immediate theories that come to mind include the likes of Neutrogena, Clinique, Lancôme… your big name usual suspects. But news has just come out overnight that this accolade is actually attributed to the far less familiar Rodan + Fields – a brand sold entirely through 200,000 independent consultants, rather than in stores.

And while Rodan + Fields may not have the recognition of other brands, it definitely has the pulling power – with a report from Euromonitor revealing the brand sold $US1.15 billion worth of product in 2016. And just to put that number into a bit of perspective – the entire US population sits at 324 million.

Having succeeded in securing over a million customers in the US, the dermatology-inspired skincare brand is ready to make its next move – branching out from its home territory in North America to launch in Australia.

Hitting the scene in May this year via www.rodanandfields.com.au, the announcement has been met with high anticipation – with thousands of women already expressing their interest in buying and selling the products since the brand’s Australian website went live in December 2016.

“We are thrilled to bring the number one skincare brand in the US in 2016 and life-changing skincare products to Australian women,” the brand’s President and Chief Executive Officer Diane Dietz has revealed. “Rodan + Fields has the unique ability to leverage our high-touch, high-tech platform and powerful consultant community to bring our innovative products to customers globally. We look forward to providing quality skincare to new audiences as we enter additional markets.”

Born from the creators of Proactive and with its cult following in the US, we’re predicting it won’t be long until Rodan + Fields becomes a household name in Australia…
