Leave it to makeup master Hung Vanngo to serve us the first epic Golden Globes beauty look of 2019: these spectacular green eyes on actress Camilla Belle.
Using Chanel Beauty, Vanngo prepped the skin with a mix of nourishing Chanel Hydra Beauty products (very important for a long night). He kept Belle’s base bronzed and flawless, using their universal bronzing star, Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base. Brows were defined using just an eyebrow pencil, whilst lips were first lined with a delicate rose lip liner then filled in with a matching rosy lipstick, slightly creamy in finish. But, it was the eye look that stole the show (and the red carpet).
A punchy jade green shadow – one of the colours in Chanel’s Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow ‘306 Splendeur et Audace’ – was smudged both atop and under the eye with drama. Working his way well up to the brow bone, Vanngo buffed the green shade from the quad into an exaggerated wing shape, then dusted a metallic green on the inner corners of the eye – for that hit of sparkle. The lash line with lined with a intense black eyeliner and eyelashes were coated in a noir mascara, but the green theme continued below, with Vanngo tracing the inner waterline with Chanel’s Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long Lasting Eyeliner in Mare-Chiaro – a rich mint shade.
Bolstering the green eye as one of the biggest beauty trends of 2019, (remember Kendall Jenner kicked things off on NYE with her lime eye), in terms of show-stopping beauty, Camilla Belle’s eye look will be hard to beat this Awards season. We are green with envy, indeed.
