Taylor Swift has officially begun assembling her bridal party. And, unsurprisingly, it’s a friendship circle of A-list proportions.
According to reports, the first two bridesmaids in Swift’s upcoming wedding to NFL star Travis Kelce will be none other than her longtime confidantes Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid.
The singer is said to have asked Hadid to join the party over dinner at New York’s members-only haunt Zero Bond last week, where the supermodel was reportedly “thrilled”—if a little surprised —to receive the honour, according to The Sun.
Gomez, too, was called upon for bridesmaid duties, with sources revealing that Swift “wants to start the wedding process this way… building her bridesmaid group and getting everyone involved in the preparations, celebrations, and planning.” Think parties, trips, and friendship-fuelled chaos in true Bad Blood-era squad fashion.
Swift is even said to be turning to Gomez for wedding guidance, as the Only Murders in the Building star recently married Benny Blanco in September.
And she’s been subtly expanding her inner circle of festivities, spotted at dinners with stylist/bestie Ashley Avignone and Sabrina Carpenter in recent weeks, fuelling fan speculation that more ceremonious invitations may be forthcoming.
The couple, who got engaged in August (“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” they teased on Instagram), are reportedly planning to wed in Rhode Island, at Swift’s expansive seaside home.
Though the pair are “still in the very early planning stages,” insiders say the ceremony is likely to take place early next year.
If Swift’s bridesmaid roster is any indication, the wedding promises to be a glittering, star-studded affair.
