She returned to social media with some mysterious snake videos this week, and now we hear Taylor Swift is preparing to drop her new song any day now.
Variety reports that according to multiple sources, Taylor will release the first single off her upcoming new album on Friday in the US – sometime Saturday in Australia.
She’s also understood to be debuting the music video at the MTV Video Music Awards happening on Sunday in the US (Monday morning AEST), which is funnily enough being hosted by her long-time rival Katy Perry.
The internet has been abuzz over the last week since Taylor scrubbed her social media accounts completely, then began posting cryptic videos of what appears to be a snake.
If it is indeed a snake, it could be a reference to Taylor’s beef with Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and of course, Katy Perry last year.
Kim famously chose National Snake Day to share a recording of Taylor on the phone to Kanye discussing the terms of him mentioning her in his song Famous.
The comments of her social media accounts were flooded with people posting snake emojis for months afterwards.
