Taylor Swift’s first official public appearance since the drama went down with Kanye West, Kim Kardashian and Calvin Harris was, as expected, eventful.
Taylor sat front row at Tommy Hilfiger’s NYFW show on Friday night to support friend and squad member Gigi Hadid, taking photos with abandon and even singing along to the song she secretly wrote for Calvin Harris, This Is What You Came For.
Whether that was a cheeky stab at Calvin (like, it’s my lyrical creation and I’ll sing it if I want to) or rather an olive branch to him is open for interpretation. What we do know is Taylor is back at it again writing music, and we know this thanks to Gigi.

After the show the model was being interviewed by Entertainment Tonight when she maybe on-purpose, maybe not revealed that Taylor is working on new music.
“She’s obviously such a great friend,” Gigi said. “And you know she is starting to go back to work in the studio again, and really made time to be here for me, and I am so grateful for that.”

If Taylor is the image-controlling, conniving evil genius she’s been portrayed as at times, then this was a calculated strategy to leak the fact she’s working on a new album. But more than likely it was just an offhand comment from Gigi still buzzing after an exhilarating runway walk.
And really, since we know Taylor always writes after a break-up, we could’ve guessed she was back in the studio – she’s had two splits in three months. Combine those with the Kimye feud and that’s surely a new album right there.
