Taylor Swift is coming to Australia for one night only this November.

Victoria Racing Club announced on Thursday that the 10-time Grammy Award winner will perform at the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday November 5.

She’ll perform two songs from her new album Lover before the big race kicks off at 3pm.

It’s understood Taylor won’t make any other public performances while in Australia.

As of right now, the Melbourne Cup will actually be a rare moment to see Swift live. She’s yet to announce any plans for a world tour since releasing Lover last month.

“I was so full-on planning this album release and directing the videos and putting all these different clues in these videos and trying to make this album release experience the most fun one for my fans, that I didn’t wanna plan what we’re gonna do in terms of live and I don’t want to do the same thing every time because I don’t want my life to feel like I’m on a treadmill,” she recently told Ryan Seacrest.

Stadium tours require years of organisation to pull off, so the fact that she has no plans at this time indicates it could be a while before fans can see Swift live.

Better get to the Melbourne Cup then.
