Taylor Swift has had a very good year. Forbes has published its annual Celebrity 100 List to reveal she’s the world’s highest-earning star, banking an impressive $225 million (US $170 million) in the 2016 fiscal year.

Take that, Kanye West.

Swift’s mind-blowing income is largely due to her enormously successful 1989 World Tour, which saw her perform 85 shows across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia from May through to December of 2015. Forbes says the epic production earned her around a quarter of a billion US dollars.

The 26-year-old has also enjoyed generous pay days from brands she endorses or appears in advertisements for, like Apple, Diet Coke and Keds.

Taylor’s takings this financial year are more than double what she earned last year – a measly $106 million (US $80 million).

Possibly even more satisfying for the Bad Blood singer will be that her earnings far surpassed that of last year’s highest-paid musician on the list – sworn enemy Katy Perry.

No wonder Taylor’s taken some time off to gallivant around the world with new love Tom Hiddleston (the pair have hit Nashville, the UK, Rome and now Australia) – she’s quite literally earned it.
