Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have been seen out and about in London, a rare sighting of the uber-private couple.

Taylor and Joe, who have been dating for around 18 months, held hands as they walked into Hawksmoor restaurant in Covent Garden together overnight.

Alwyn, a British actor best known for his role in stage production Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, is often in the UK for work, with Taylor visiting him whenever she has gaps in her Reputation tour schedule. After performing in Florida on August 18, the Bad Blood singer has a week-long break until she plays Nashville on the 25th.

The last time they were seen together was when Swift skipped hosting an annual 4thof July party to holiday with Joe in Turks and Caicos.

The couple have never spoken publicly about their relationship, although eagle-eyed fans spotted subtle references to Alwyn in Swift’s Reputation album and videos.

In her song Delicate, Swift sings “My reputation’s never been worse, so you must like me for me,” and the music video includes a “Joe’s Deli” sign in the background.

Alwyn isn’t a household name in Australia or US just yet, but that could soon change. He plays Robert Dudley in Mary Queen of Scots alongside Margot Robbie and Saorsie Ronan, which hits cinemas in December. He’s also in The Favourite, a period-drama starring Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz, out in November.
