You know him as T’Challa in Black Panther – and for those who have seen Avengers: Endgame, well, without spoiling it for everyone, you know him from this film as well. But come July 11, Chadwick Boseman will star as an embattled NYPD police officer who is assigned to a citywide manhunt for cop killers. The massive mission means Boseman’s character – along with Sienna Miller – will have to close the island of Manhattan, all 21.6km X 3.7km of it. This includes blocking off 21 bridges – as the title suggests – closing the three rivers, blocking four tunnels, stopping every train and looping the subways. Can they close in on the criminals? As the plan unfolds, a conspiracy deepens. Directed by Brian Kirk (Game Of Thrones) and a screenplay from Matthew Michael Carnahan (World War Z, Deepwater Horizon) and Adam Mervis (The Philly Kid), the only question mark surrounding this movie is if Boseman can garner a global audience quiet like Black Panther.

21 Bridges will hit Australian cinemas on July 11.
