It seems like only yesterday that the world was surprised by news that Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise were expecting a child together. But if you didn’t already feel like the years were flying by, brace yourself for the fact that Suri Cruise is already an 18-year-old—and the spitting image of her famous mother as exhibited by her appearance at her High School senior prom.
Posing with a group of friends and her dapper date on the streets of New York City, Cruise was photographed all dressed up as she headed to the momentous event (see pictures here.)
For the special occasion, the LaGuardia High School graduate wore a spaghetti-strap dress with a corset bodice and an asymmetrical skirt in a Boho print with burgundy detailing. She complemented the look with simple gold stilettos and a traditional corsage.
For glam, she took a leaf out of her mother’s style book and ditched the over-the-top looks many of us opted for in favour of Old Hollywood waves, berry-toned lipstick and a soft smokey eye.
Suri was born in 2006 after her parents, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, met after the actress was considered for a role in one of Cruise’s Mission Impossible films. The couple were married from November 2006 until August 2012 and only had one child, Suri, together during their marriage.
While the duo have remained quiet about their co-parenting, it was revealed that Suri had potentially dropped the ‘Cruise’ from her name in favour of ‘Noelle’, a nod to her mother’s middle name.
