THE golden RULES
TIP 1 Forgive us for stating the bleeding obvious, but make sure it’s a bra worth seeing. The lacier and luxier the better.
TIP 2 Swap balcony or push-up bras for a flatter bralet instead. Too much cleavage sends you to the other end of the demure-sexy spectrum.
TIP 3 If your bra is lacey or eye-catching in texture, keep the hue or design simple. Very versa, if the shape is low-key then consider some colour.
TIP 4 Keep the garment on top simple, both shape- and palette-wise. Clutter the look with pattern or radical shapes and it starts to look try-hard.
TIP 5 This works especially well with clothes that seem contradictory to sexy underwear, like a sharp tuxedo, collared shirt or zip-up bomber jacket.
TIP 6 No neon (music festivals excepted).
TIP 7 Same goes for nude – it just looks wrong. Go bold or go home.
TIP 8 Lastly, no flashing. If you can see more than a hint of a nip, your V-neck needs nixing.
