While Australia experiences another polar blast it’s hard to believe that spring is just one week away. Despite the threat of La Nina returning for a third year, the new season is a chance to overturn our wardrobes for breezy styles and effortless looks. It’s called spring cleaning for a reason. New collections are dropping quickly and this week is just the beginning of our hot girl summer renaissance (we can only hope). Below are some of our favourite drops this week.

Jillian Boustred

Australian label Jillian Boustred may be beloved for ever-flattering knits and buttery outerwear but Spring 2023 is all about pastel linens and summer suiting. The collection is titled Fresca – meaning “fresh in Italian – and promises a new era for the namesake brand with a sense of irreverence and quiet rebellion.

Louis Vuitton

In collaboration with tennis world champion Naomi Osaka, Louis Vuitton has ushered in the latest editions of the Twist bag from sunny Los Angeles. The offering includes an embroidered strap and lemon-shaped coin purse, or a gold-colour chain with enamel charms that are inspired by the emblematic padlock and Monogram flower. A new iridescent model has also been released and features a metallic version of the iconic LV Twist lock.

CUE

CUE has experimented with statement colour and silhouettes for Summer 2022 to deliver an exciting collection of vibrant wardrobe staples and party pieces. Suiting receives an androgynous treatment while our obsession for cut outs are reimagined in unexpected ways.

Silk Laundry

In homage to critically endangered or extinct flora, Silk Laundry has immortalised its forgotten beauty into a signature print for Collection 3 of 2022. Emblazoned onto delicate slip dresses and silky tailoring the collection also marks the release of a vibrant new colour palette across staple knitwear and breezy basics. Florals can truly be groundbreaking for spring.
