In a celebrity feud nobody saw coming, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are at war with Diplo, with the newlyweds saying they’re not happy he live-streamed their wedding.
That we watched Sophie and Joe say ‘I do’ via Diplo’s Instagram account was a delightfully random element to their surprise Las Vegas nuptials this month. But according to the couple, the music producer did not ask for permission, and Sophie has gone as far as to say she and Joe would have preferred to keep it a secret.
“It’s tricky when people livestream it,” she told PorterEdit.
“It would have been better if no one had known, but I actually think it was funny … but yes, I would have kept it a secret.”
Joe echoed his Game Of Thrones star wife in a US breakfast radio interview, saying:
“Yeah, he did ruin it. I love Diplo, but he loves his ‘gram more than a 13-year-old. He posts every five seconds. He literally, like, live streamed with dog-face filters. We just laughed. We loved it. We thought it was ridiculous, and I just love that he was walking into the chapel and he was like, ‘going to hit this wedding real quick.'”
Well, Diplo is not taking the accusation he ruined the wedding lying down. He hit back at Joe on Instagram, saying “the only thing that ruined your wedding was your [outfit].”
Guess Diplo won’t be invited when Sophie and Joe celebrate a second wedding with family and friends in France, reportedly happening this month. In that case, who’s going to live-stream it for us? Priyanka? Nick? Somebody?!
