Selena Gomez abruptly stepped out of the spotlight in August when she cancelled her Revival World Tour and checked into rehab to focus on her physical and mental health.

But in a sign the 24-year-old is ready to return to public life, she’s signed on to be the face of luxury label Coach, as it was announced on Saturday.

Page Six reports the deal, which will see Selena star in campaigns and co-design pieces for the label, is worth US $10 million (almost AUD $14 million).

In an official statement from the brand, creative director Stuart Vevers explained:

“The woman I design for is authentic, honest and possesses a romantic charm mixed with a cool, confident attitude. Selena embodies all of these qualities perfectly — but the fact that she has always loved Coach, and believed so strongly in our philanthropic mission, made her a true Coach Girl.”

Selena also announced the news, sharing a photo to her Instagram of herself holding a Coach purse.

“Being able to create is my favorite thing in the whole world,” she wrote.

“I’m so excited to be a part of the vision and family @coach AND I get the honor to design with @stuartvevers –ahhhhhh.”

It’s the second indication this week that Selena has recovered from the mental and physical fatigue and is ready to resume normal life: it appears she’s also back in the studio, as an Instagram post from songwriter Justin Tranter, who worked with Selena on her Revival album hinted this week.

He shared what looks like a new photo of Selena with the caption “music and love”, indicating the pair are working on new music together again, and fans can expect new tunes from Gomez in 2017.
