After delaying their wedding due to COVID, Scarlett Johansson and her partner of two years, Colin Jost, quietly got married over the weekend in an intimate ceremony with their closest friends and family.

The Instagram account for Meals on Wheels America announced that the couple had tied the knot over the weekend, revealing that the pair had given the charity the A-OK to post the news, hoping to raise money to help vulnerable Americans during this difficult time.

“We’re thrilled to break the news that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost were married over the weekend in an intimate ceremony with their immediate family and love ones, following COVID-19 safety precautions as directed by the CDC,” the caption reads.

“Their wedding wish is to help make a difference for vulnerable older adults during this difficult time by supporting @mealsonwheelsamerica. Please consider donating to celebrate the happy couple by clicking the link in our bio”.

In lieu of a photo of the newlyweds, Meals on Wheels shared an image of the Staten Island Ferry with the words ‘Jost Married’ written over it.

Johansson and Jost originally met on the popular American talkshow SNL, where Jost works as co-head writer and “Weekend Update” co-host. They were first rumoured to be dating in November 2017 and Johansson confirmed their romance last December while appearing as a guest host on the show.

During her opening monologue the actresss said, “I just want to say that this place means so much to me. I have so many friends here and I met the love of my life here. Merry Christmas.” The pair later announced their engagement in May 2019. Though this is Jost’s first marriage, Johansson was previously married to Ryan Reynolds (2008-2010) and Romain Dauriac (2014-2017), with whom she shares a six-year-old daughter, Rose.

Johansson isn’t the only celebrity to find love through SNL, either. Emma Stone is engaged to one of the show’s writers and directors, Dave McCary; Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis met at an SNL finale party; Ariana Grande famously got engaged to SNL comedian Pete Davidson – before later calling the wedding off – in 2018; and Ben Affleck dated SNL producer Lindsay Shookus following his split from wife, Jennifer Garner. Anyone know of a job going?
