As the mercury rises, the spring weekends have become a sunny welcome to leave the dark alcoves of the house – favourable in winter – for the outdoors. Celebrating the new season, award-winning Japanese eatery Saké Restaurant & Bar have opened it doors for a series of afternoons, made for delectable dishes and flowing champagne.

Bringing an added sense of opulence to the contemporary take on Japan’s famous food culture, Sydney locations, The Rocks and Double Bay as well as Eagle Street Pier in Brisbane and Hamer Hall in Melbourne are offering a decadent lunch every Saturday and Sunday. From 12pm each weekend, guests will enjoy a selection of Saké dishes and two-hours of champagne. Hero dishes from the kitchen will include the likes of the chef’s selection of delicate nigiri, sweet vegetable maki and rich desserts all accompanied by either Veuve Clicquot, Moet Champagne or even more luxurious, Ruinart Champagne.
