Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are private and protective when it comes to their kids: they did not announce the birth of their second child in September (the news was leaked to the media) and hadn’t even confirmed the baby’s existence until now.
It seems Ryan got a little too chatty during an appearance on Conan O’Brien’s late night show on Wednesday. During the interview, he said that “two [children] under two is tough”, and then revealed the gender of their new addition – in characteristically comedic fashion.
“Yeah, a lot of estrogen,” he said. “It’s like an American Girl doll took a sh*t on my life.”
It turns out the Deadpool star did not have his wife’s approval to publicly reveal their daughter’s gender. A few hours after the Conan episode aired, she shared the apology present Ryan bought her to make up for the overshare and noted that he was in “huge trouble”.
“The ways I know that @vancityreynoldsdsgot himself into huge trouble on @teamcoco tonight: Not only did he come home with my true love, @levainbakery cookies, but he personally toasted them for me and brought me a cup of milk WITH ICE. Literal brownie points.”

The couple waited three months after their eldest daughter James was born to reveal her name, so don’t hold your breath waiting to hear what they’ve called baby number two. Unless of course, you can catch Ryan in a talkative mood.
