In further proof women really are the backbone of human kind, the pillar of every household and generally superwomen every day, Ryan Reynolds has revealed another aspect he admires about wife, Blake Lively.

On promotional tour for his new film Life with Jake Gyllenhaal, Reynolds has not only found it difficult not to joke around with his co-star but has managed to work in a reference to his wife in almost all publications, a sign just how god damn proud of her he is (and himself for landing her!). And in the latest instalment of My Wife, Blake Lively, Reynolds has revealed to Elle US she is ultimately a handyman at home as well.

“She’s as handy as any home-improvement character you’d ever meet,” he said. “Her mum will say, ‘Ryan, how do I back up this hard drive?’ And I’m just looking at her going, ‘You’re asking the wrong person. Blake is right there.”

Reynolds who recently was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in Los Angeles thanked his wife. “You’ve made me the father of my dreams when I thought I only had fun uncle potential.” Speaking to Elle US, he explained exactly what he meant. “There are 7 billion people on the planet,” he said. “Pretty much everyone is doing it. It’s not like you need to order the ‘baby-starter kit’ on Amazon. Instincts will come to you at the weirdest places and times. But yeah, early on, I thought, ‘Am I going to be a good father?’ But I’m so much more patient than I ever imagined. I can comb a doll’s hair for six hours and suddenly remember to blink.”
