No matter how bad a day, week, month or year you’re having, at least be thankful you’re not the person who temporarily lost $5 million worth of Rita Ora’s Cannes jewellery.
According to AFP, a courier tasked with transporting the jewellery from London to France for Ora to wear at the Cannes Film Festival did the unthinkable, mistakenly leaving the multi-million dollar package, which was in her carry-on, on the plane.
You had one job.
By the time the courier’s error was realised, the plane had departed the airport in Nice and was on its way back to London.
“Someone with their head in the clouds nearly lost several million,” a police source said.
The package eventually made its way to Rita, and the Let You Love Me singer was pictured wearing some exquisite Chopard jewels at two Cannes parties last week.
The fate of the forgetful courier is unclear. But perhaps it’s time for a career change.
