If you happened to be shopping at Rihanna’s brand new Los Angeles Fenty store on Sunday evening, you were in for the surprise of your life: seeing a pregnant Rihanna – and her beau A$AP Rocky – in the flesh.
For the outing that naturally sent unsuspecting fans wild, Rihanna wearing a top-to-toe red leather Alaïa coat dress, which was custom made for her by designer Pieter Mulier. The look featured a hood, which she wore up, and she paired with matching red strappy heels.
Rih’s choice of colour is no mistake: the brand is currently heroing its Savage X Fenty new Valentine’s Day collection, made up of a lot of bright red lace, naturally. Furthermore, it’s the day before Valentine’s Day and Rihanna is loved up and pregnant.
Who can forget when she stepped out literally dressed as a heart? The woman is a Pisces: of course, she loves love.
A$AP Rocky, meanwhile, looked dapper wearing a grey suit adorned with sparkles, which he accessorised with a white dress shirt and a black tie underneath. The rapper wore red sneakers which matched his girlfriend’s ensemble.
This appearance is the latest of four recent outings by Rihanna, ever since she went public about being pregnant with her first child just over a week ago, on February 6th. Since then, Rihanna has been redefining maternity style, wearing outfits that accentuate her baby bump while continuing to dress in her signature sexy and original style.
On Saturday night, making her baby bump red carpet debut, she wore an amazingly skin-baring outfit by Italian brand The Attico, made up of a lime-green top and silver-purple ombré trousers which were made with sequins strung together to create a shredded effect. Gorgeous, perfect, heavenly:
A$AP Rocky, a style icon in his own right, wore a purple Louis Vuitton letterman jacket to the event with a matching purple shirt underneath. He completed the look with a pair of torn jeans, as well as a purple hat and a pair of green-coloured sneakers.
At the event, Rihanna revealed the pair’s matching looks was a coincidence. “I didn’t know what he was wearing. I didn’t even see him!” she said. “Like, he left the studio to come here.”
“That always happens with us,” she added. “We get dressed in completely separate [areas] across the house, and we leave looking coordinated somehow.” Bless these two.
