At the top of every up and coming designer’s dream list is Rihanna, a woman who not only dominates the music scene but dominates both fashion and beauty, too. And, just as importantly, a woman who would never be seen dead wearing anything she didn’t personally love. Approval from Rihanna means, in no uncertain terms, you have officially made it.
Overnight, that approval went to up and coming British-Indian designer Supriya Lele, whose designs have been popping up on everyone from Bella Hadid to Sophie Turner to Dua Lipa and Adwoa Aboah of late.
Rihanna was photographed heading out for dinner in New York wearing a sheer, low-cut neon-green polo top by Lele, which was debuted in the designer’s fall-winter 2021 collection. She paired the look with another Lele design—a mini tailored version of the designer’s black sequin-embellished midi skirt—and accessorised with chain necklaces, stud earrings, and matching green velvet pumps.
Last week, the singer was spotted wearing another bright hue while on a dinner date with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky. In photos of the ridiculously good looking pair leaving a restaurant together, Rihanna is seen in a vintage pink John Galliano for Dior slip dress with which she wore a matching hot-pink bucket hat and accessorised with beaded necklaces, pink nails, nude pumps, and a white beaded shoulder bag by Fendi.
Equally stylish Rocky wore a purple vest, leather pants and a cheeky smile while draping his arm around his girlfriend and shading them from paparazzi.
Despite ongoing rumours of Rihanna and Rocky’s relationship dating back years, the pair made their relationship official around Christmas last year, before spending lockdown together travelling the country in a minibus. In May, Rocky opened up to GQ, dubbing Rihanna “the love of [his] life” and “the one”.
“I think when you know, you know,” he told the publication, “she’s the One.”
