Rihanna, Jay-Z and his label Roc Nation are being sued by a concert promoter who says he paid US$160,000 (AUD$213, 718) for a performance that never eventuated.

Nigerian Chris Ubosi and his company Megalectrics claim he handed over the cash to representatives of Rihanna and Roc Nation after signing a deal that she would perform a 65 minute gig back in May 2013 for a total sum of US $425,000.

He says reps for Rihanna postponed the show and then never offered a new date, so he cancelled the concert and asked for a refund, but he never received it.

However, reps for Rihanna, Jay and Roc Nation told TMZ that no representative associated with them was ever in contact with Ubosi.

“Unfortunately this person was scammed. Rihanna nor Roc Nation collected any money for this event.”

Ubosi is undoubtedly listening to Rihanna’s 2015 track B*tch Better Have My Money on repeat as he awaits more news of his case.
