Over the weekend, Rihanna and beau A$AP Rocky were caught up in a very messy (and completely unfounded) Twitter rumour that suggested the pair split after the rapper was caught cheating. It seems that all the cyber drama did not bother the pop star who later appeared hand-in-hand with her baby daddy in perhaps her most risqué pregnancy look to date.
The couple were photographed out to dinner in Rihanna’s native of Barbados on the Easter weekend and was spotted wearing a mini cutout Dundas dress, gold Tom Ford strappy heels and a Dior black saddle bag.
You would recall that it is an iteration of the same dress worn by the likes of Heidi Klum and Hailey Bieber, albeit worn backwards and paired with a bralette.
Last week the “Umbrella” artist appeared in a cover interview where she discussed her seductive pregnancy style. “When I found out I was pregnant, I thought to myself, ‘There’s no way I’m going to go shopping in no maternity aisle. I’m sorry—it’s too much fun to get dressed up’,” Rihanna told the publication. “I’m not going to let that part disappear because my body is changing.”
“I’m hoping that we were able to redefine what’s considered ‘decent’ for pregnant women,” she continued. “My body is doing incredible things right now, and I’m not going to be ashamed of that. This time should feel celebratory. Because why should you be hiding your pregnancy?”
Rihanna famously announced her pregnancy back in February in a photoshoot wearing a vintage Autumn/Winter 1996 Chanel puffer coat, distressed jeans and Chanel belt. An apt prelude to her sartorial maternity venture.
The singer has long been friends with A$AP Rocky until 2020 where the rapper managed to escape the friend zone during the worldwide lockdown. “He became my family in that time,” she recalled.
