Rebecca Vallance Lucia One Piece, $229 SHOP NOW
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: After a 10-year tenure at the helm of her eponymous label, Australian designer Rebecca Vallance has ventured into the swimwear space with her debut line Euforia; a richly colourful, Mediterranean-inspired extension of her Resort 2022 collection.
Italian for “euphoria”, the flattering and detailed cuts personify la dolce vita; warming our world-weary souls with memories of heedless pleasures, glamourous nights and those only-in-the-Med cerulean waters. In fact, the entire Resort 2022 collection was inspired by Vallance’s European escapades.
“The design process took place during the recent NSW COVID lockdowns,” Vallance tells GRAZIA. “I was reminiscing on fun summers spent in Malta and Italy with family that we were missing dearly, and this resulted in a nostalgic collection of swimwear, embodying the best traits of Italian summers.”
“Pieces and prints within the collection reference my memories of the Mediterranean lifestyle, architecture and landscape but are playfully reimagined for the global woman,” she continues. “Looking at the collection upon completion, I’m reminded of happy times in the Mediterranean sun.”

While Vallance lists Ravello, Capri, Rome and Portofino on the list of Italian spots she wishes to visit, it is Malta that has her heart (and where some of her family reside).
