Chances are, we all know at least one person whose life has been upended by a form of cancer; somebody’s mother, somebody’s friend, or even a reader reading this right now. A disease that doesn’t discriminate, it is one that causes tremendous heartache – a unique set of seemingly endless worries for not only the person being treated, but for their friends, family, colleagues and community.
Ralph Lauren has been a leader in the fight against cancer for over two decades. It’s Pink Pony Initiative – the company’s global philanthropic program dedicated to cancer care and prevention – has raised millions of dollars across the years to support research, screenings, early diagnosis tools, treatment, education and patient navigation. (Pink Pony also aims to reduce disparities in availability of care – and this year, will provide USD$25 million in funding to expand and establish five Ralph Lauren-named cancer centres in underserved communities in the United States.)
Every year, all donations raised from Pink Pony product collections benefit the Pink Pony Fund of The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation, as well as international network of cancer charities, like Cancer Australia.
