When Prince Harry wrote his upcoming memoir Spare, he chose chaos. Details of the groundbreaking book have slowly come to light in anticipation of release on January 10 where the Duke of Sussex pens his experience of growing up within the Royal Family, slams the UK media and illustrates his departure as a senior royal. It comes after the long-awaited premiere of the Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan in December with the couple showing no signs of slowing down from their crusade against the institution.

Prince Harry has already participated in several sit-down interviews and while publications have released excerpts of the memoir prior to launch. Here we collate all the biggest bombshells and revelations so far.

In an excerpt leaked by The Guardian last week, Prince Harry claims that he was physically assaulted by Prince William at Nottingham Cottage after the future king called Meghan “difficult” and “rude”.

“[William] set down the water, called me another name, then came at me. It all happened so fast. So very fast,” Harry wrote. “He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”

The Duke Of Sussex Was Encouraged To Wear That Nazi Uniform

In an article from Page Six, the book reportedly details what happened before Prince Harry stepped out wearing a Nazi uniform in 2005. He claims that he called the now Prince and Princess of Wales for their opinion on wearing the costume. “I phoned Willy and Kate, asked what they thought. Nazi uniform,” claiming that they “howled” at the idea.

“Worse than Willy’s leotard outfit! Way more ridiculous! Which, again, was the point,” he wrote.

Prince Harry And Prince William Asked Their Father Not To Marry Camilla

Prior to the royal wedding between the then Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, the brothers had asked their father to reconsider the marriage. “Willy and I promised our father that we would welcome Camilla to the family. The only thing we asked for in return was that he didn’t marry her,” Harry shares in Spare. “‘You don’t need to get married again,’ we asked him.”

He asked his driver to speed through the same tunnel that killed princess diana

According to PeoplePrince Harry asked his driver to speed through the same tunnel at the same speed – 65mph – that caused Princess Diana’s fatal crash while travelling through Paris in 2007. “We came to the mouth of the tunnel. We zipped ahead, went over the lip at the tunnel’s entrance, the bump that supposedly sent Mummy’s Mercedes veering off course. But the lip was nothing. We barely felt it,” he wrote in the memoir.

“Is that all of it? It’s…nothing. Just a straight tunnel.”
