Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were thought to have been spending the festive season in Los Angeles until the palace confirmed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, accompanied by their son, Archie Harrison, and Markle’s mum, Doria Ragland, had touched down in Canada for Christmas.

While the family’s exact location wasn’t disclosed, they were later confirmed to be staying on Vancouver Island, where locals revealed they’d spotted the royals casually hiking and out for runs around the area and where they reportedly had their dinner reservations rebuffed due to security concerns.

According to a new report, the Sussexes celebrated Christmas in style at a French-country inspired mansion, worth around $20 million AUD.

Per The Daily Mail, the waterfront estate boasts five bedrooms and eight bathrooms with a huge guest cottage and a separate conservatory on the grounds.

The four-acre Vancouver Island home (read: castle) even comes complete with its own two private beaches and views across the peninsula and, according to an old listing, the main house also includes a chef’s kitchen, a wine tasting room, a media room and a games room.
