Introducing your children to your new partner is one of the most nerve-wracking moments for any parent who’s newly back on the dating scene. But thankfully for Kim Kardashian, it appears her children not only approve of her new boyfriend, Pete Davidson, but they love him. That is, if the new photos of the SNL comedian and Kardashian’s six-year-old son, Saint, are anything to go by.
Over the weekend, Davidson and Saint were spotted hand-in-hand in Los Angeles while walking around a shopping centre. The most surprising part? Kardashian was nowhere to be seen.
In the images, the pair are shown walking toward a kiosk stocked with hats, while a second photo showed them standing outside the Cheesecake Factory. They reportedly then entered the restaurant hand-in-hand moments later.
Of course, Davidson was likely introduced to Kardashian’s four children who she shares with her ex-husband Kanye West – North, 8, Saint, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2 – months ago. The comedian was first spotted with one of Kardashian’s kids in April when he was photographed driving around Calabasas in one of the family’s custom-made pink golf carts with North in the passenger seat.
Since then, he’s clearly been seen spending a lot of time on the west coast of the US close to the Kardashian family, despite living and working in New York City. He’s been dating the SKIMs founder for coming up a year now, and with the red carpet appearances, Instagram tributes and multiple tattoos, it’s obvious the two are serious about their relationship.
Further cementing how serious Kardashian and Davidson are is a recent conversation Kardashian had with her mum, Kris Jenner, on an episode of The Kardashians about her nephew, Mason Disick — Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick’s first son — advising North on having a step-dad.
In the clip, Kardashian told Jenner she’d overheard a conversation between her eldest daughter North and North’s cousin, Mason, while driving with them both in the backseat of her car. Kardashian says Mason asked if he could be dropped off at Travis Barker’s – his mum’s new partner’s – studio, saying, “’It’s so cool.’ And he was telling North, like, they have these bikes and it’s just like, so fun.” She added of the 12-year-old, “His tune has totally changed since the engagement.”
According to Kardashian, Mason then advised North, “You know, getting a stepdad isn’t so bad.” He added, “They’re not these evil people like you see in the movies. It’s just not like that.'”
Kardashian says hearing the conversation made her feel overwhelmed with emotions and realise things were going to be okay. “The way he was talking to her just gave me the feeling of like, ‘Everything’s gonna work out everything’s gonna be okay.”
Meanwhile, Davidson, who already has three different tattoos in ode to his famous girlfriend, added a new inking on his neck a few months ago which reads “KNSCP.” Fans believe it’s an ode to Kardashian and West’s four children: North, 8, Saint, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2.
