Pamela Anderson making a return to the spotlight wasn’t something anyone would have anticipated a few years ago. But following the actress’ moving memoir and popular documentary, amid a slew of other mistreated celebrity women, such as Britney Spears and Paris Hilton similarly taking the narrative into their own hands, Anderson is finally getting her dues.
Not only is Anderson and her cut-short career being recontextualised, but the 55-year-old is back in the culture for other, also important, matters, such as her style and impact on the fashion industry.
First, she paid homage to her Baywatch era for the red carpet premiere of Pamela, A Love Story, then she made a cameo on Boss’s spring 2023 runway in Miami, and now she’s proving the mini skirt trend isn’t just for millennials and Gen Z (and Nicole Kidman).
To attend a Tommy Hilfiger event in London, Anderson braved the cold climate — thankfully, it’s almost officially spring in the northern hemisphere — wearing a camel-hued miniskirt with a single-breasted beige trench coat and a bright blue button-down shirt. Anderson wore bare legs with the skirt and added a pair of strappy black sandals, which she matched to her skinny black belt and oversized sunglasses.
Of Anderson’s new style era, Rebecca Ramsey, who started working with the actress last year to curate her wardrobe for her book and documentary’s press tour, previously told British Vogue, “It’s all Pamela. I’m just so happy that she’s having this moment. I can’t wait to see where it goes.”
She added, “she wears clothes, they don’t wear her.” Touché.
