The world has been up in arms (and rightly so) after damning data was released last month on the excessive use of celebrity private jets. Kylie Jenner was dubbed a “climate criminal” on Twitter after it was revealed she took her private plane for a 17 minute flight – or the equivalent to a 45 minute drive. Then of course there was Taylor Swift who has been accused – and staunchly denied – taking 170 flights in 200 days.

Amid all the drama Tom Holland has proved he is a man of the people. Footage has gone viral on social media of the A-list actor taking a commercial flight to visit girlfriend Zendaya in Budapest, where she is filming the second instalment of Dune.

In a now-deleted video on TikTok, Holland could be seen sitting in business class (?) on an expectedly long haul flight… knitting.

This isn’t simply a PR stunt to prove he is such a do-gooder (which he absolutely is by the way). In February he was captured sitting next to a fan, in a bougie-looking economy, to Rome. According to a report from Page Six at the time, the Spider-Man star flew internationally to surprise Zendaya while she was filming in Italy.

Other celebrities to have come under fire for excessive private flying include Jay-Z, Alex Rodriguez and Kim Kardashian who also topped a list of stats from Yard.

It’s not known exactly when Holland and Zendaya began dating but they confirmed romance rumours back in July 2021 when the pair were photographed by paparazzi kissing at a red light. See the pictures, here. Their sweet relationship hasn’t been without some drama. In June the internet was thrown into a frenzy after a hoax TikTok video spread a rumour that Zendaya was pregnant.

She quickly clapped back at the time, writing, “See now, this is why I stay off Twitter… Just making stuff up for no reason…weekly.”
