Get the popcorn ready (or better still, new Netflix Ben & Jerry’s flavour, Netflix & Chill’d).

After being teased on Instagram for months, new Netflix series, ‘Next in Fashion’, finally has a premiere date, January 29. Powered by Net-a-Porter, the world’s leading luxury e-tailer, brings together talented young designers from around the world to compete for $250,000 USD and the chance to become the next big thing in fashion. The winner will also be added to the retailer’s luxurious designer stable, aka fashion’s golden ticket.

Hosted by Tan France, of ‘Queer Eye’ fame, and perennial cool-girl Alexa Chung, who is a designer herself, the show will also see an illustrious judging panel come together, comprising everyone’s favourite Instagrammer, Eva Chen, celebrity stylist Elizabeth Stewart and Net-a-Porter’s own global buying director, Elizabeth von der Goltz.

Net-a-Porter has long fostered emerging talent in the fashion landscape. Along with consistently unearthing new design talent, its Vanguard program is dedicated to taking on eight up-and-coming designers annually, which sees development in everything from business to design through a global mentorship program. “We’ve always been huge supporters of emerging designers…and this fits into that,” Goltz told WWD of her role on the show.

So mark your calendars, fashionistas: this is the new Netflix binge you’ve been waiting for.
